Q: Are these courses free?
A: The course has a limited number of spots for free registration to the online course, mostly based in New York State. An intake survey is required to complete to be considered. All other learners can still 'audit' the course on Coursera for free, but to earn a certificate then requires a paid Coursera account.

A: There are no prerequisites required to enroll in the online course. Whether you’re a beginner or have some prior knowledge in the field, our courses were designed to accommodate learners at all levels.

- Clean Energy 101, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Sustainability, Green Building, Nanotechnology, and a Final Project: Exploring Career Pathways.
Renewable Energy: Manufacturing Career Exploration:
- Introduction to Energy, Wind Energy, Offshore Wind Industry, Offshore Wind Careers, Manufacturing Opportunities and Equipment, and a Final Project: Career Exploration Activity.
Q: Are there any assignments or assessments throughout the course?
A: The course offers many discussion prompts in addition to one final project which allows learners to develop a portfolio containing a personalized “roadmap” detailing your career transition within the renewable energy industry. Learners will be given several opportunities to engage in optional and graded assessments.

Our goal is to inform participants about the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of renewable energy. Moreover, the course is structured to encourage learners to consider furthering their education in renewable energy through certificate programs, and 2-year or 4-year professional degree programs offered at SUNY institutions in New York State.
