A: The course has a limited number of spots for free registration to the online course, mostly based in New York State. An intake survey is required to complete to be considered. All other learners can still 'audit' the course on Coursera for free, but to earn a certificate then requires a paid Coursera account.

A: The course offers many discussion prompts in addition to one final project which allows learners to develop a portfolio containing a personalized “roadmap” detailing your career transition within the renewable energy industry. Our goal is to inform participants about the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of renewable energy. Moreover, the course is structured to encourage learners to consider furthering their education in renewable energy through certificate programs, and 2-year or 4-year professional degree programs offered at SUNY institutions in New York State.
