In Persuasion, consumer imagery is appropriated and represented with an oblique view through the eyes of the artist rather than the boardroom. Combined, their works shed an eerie light on what is missing in the contemporary practice of the ancient art of persuasion. Each artists produces relatively traditional work, but still very much within the glow of consumerism.

The impetus of Persuasion lies in a donation of billboards to the gallery by Toronto curator Ihor Holubizky.
