Description

This exhibition celebrates Harvey Breverman’s lifelong career as an internationally renowned artist and educator. His exhibition figurative tableaux, drawn directly from life, question historical accuracy by presenting composite records of poets, writers, and dignitaries that have moved in and out of the artist’s personal radar over the last forty years. The exhibition showcases over one hundred paintings and drawings from the 1980s to the present, as well as a print survey.

On Saturday, October 2, Douglas Dreishpoon, Ph.D., the Senior Curator at Albright-Knox Art Gallery will moderate a panel discussion, from 3pm to 5 pm at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society.

Breverman is a SUNY Distinguished Professor of Art at UB.
