Recognized internationally for his unique glass sculptures and large-scale works for public spaces, Howard Ben Tré makes reference to historical architectural forms, industrial shapes and Eastern ceremonial artifacts in his luminous sculpture, while gracefully moving viewers into the 21st century with its futuristic components. Private Visions, Utopian Ideals includes sculptures, works on paper, and selection of drawings, models, and photographs of Tré’s public art projects.
The artists will give a lecture in the Albright-Knox Art Gallery on Sunday, April 17 at 2pm entitled “Taking the Personal Vision from the Privacy of the studio into the Public Space.”
