Adam Cvijanovic
Brochure available with essay by exhibition curator Sandra Q. Firmin.
Installed on walls that extend upwards thirty-five feet in the Lightwell Gallery, Cvijanovic’s floor-to-ceiling painting of Niagara Falls reflects on the romantic allure of a site that has drawn diverse spectators to view its vistas, from nineteenth-century painters of the American sublime to postwar honeymooners.
A self-taught painter born in Cambridge, MA, Adam Cvijanovic has had solo shows at the UCLA Hammer Museum, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and the Brockton Art Museum.
