For 6 years, the Creative Arts Initiative (CAI) received many excellent proposals for artist residencies from a wide variety of disciplines, from across the country and around the world and were able to bring some amazing artists to Buffalo to create new art while engaging with our students and the Buffalo community. We are very sorry to see this important effort come to an end.
Buffalo has long inspired great artists like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Mark Twain, both of whom called Buffalo home. Our literary legacy continues to thrive, through one of the nation’s top literary presenters, the Just Buffalo Literary Center:
