Named after a longtime faculty member, this fund will provide research support for PharmD students.
Dr. Alan Forrest was a faculty member and research professor in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was renowned in the field of antimicrobial pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and toxicodynamics (PK/PD/TD), and served as a researcher and educator for almost 40 years before he passed away in 2018.
This fund is designed to create an endowed research scholarship for students in UB’s doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program.
During his career, Dr. Forrest held a number of prestigious faculty positions at UB, worked as the Senior Director of Pharmacometrics at the Institute for Clinical Pharmacodynamics, and was also an expert adviser to the Food and Drug Administration and the pharmaceutical industry.
