We are excited to announce that CATT will be relocating from Norton Hall on North Campus to the UB Gateway Building, located at 77 Goodell Street in downtown Buffalo. This move will take place in four phases, and while our physical location is changing, our commitment to supporting instructors remains stronger than ever.

Relocation phases

Beginning November 4

Several staff members will be relocated from 5 Norton Hall. During this phase, walk-in visitors should go to 6 and 7 Norton Hall, located across the hall, for assistance.

Late January:

Remaining staff from Norton Hall will move, ending our Norton Hall presence. Additional information regarding support options can be found below.

Mid-March:

UB Learns support staff will relocate from the Ellicott Complex to the UB Gateway Building. No impact to support services is expected.

What does this mean for instructors?

As part of this move, we are shifting from walk-in support to scheduled consultations. This change allows us to offer more personalized and efficient support, ensuring that every instructor’s needs are met in a timely manner.

Consultation options

  • From November 4 to December 20, walk-in services will still be available in 6 and 7 Norton Hall. However, we encourage you to begin scheduling consultations during this time for more tailored support.
  • After December 20, walk-in services will no longer be available, and all support will be by scheduled appointment. You will be able to meet with us at our new location at 77 Goodell Street, in shared spaces on North Campus, or even within your own department.
  • Virtual Support: In addition to in-person consultations, virtual options will remain available, allowing for maximum flexibility.

Our commitment

This move is an opportunity for us to provide even more focused support. By shifting to scheduled consultations, we can work more closely with departments to meet the specific needs of instructors, whether through professional development opportunities, personalized departmental collaborations or one-on-one sessions.
