    Researchers have discovered how an active form of a gene present in 75% of the human population works to protect the brain against neurodegeneration. 

  • April 27: Orleans County Safety Fair

    The Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will hold a Safety Fair for Orleans County residents from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 27, 2023, for those caring for loved ones with dementia. The event will take place at the Cornell Cooperative Extension on Route 31 at the 4-H Fairgrounds.

  • April 1: 3rd Annual Black/African American Caregiver Conference

    In partnership with the Buffalo Center for Health Equity, the Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will present “It’s A Family Affair: 3rd Annual Black/African American Caregiver Conference” on Saturday, April 1, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Frank E. Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo.
