Our Beginnings
The CIBR is the result of a groundswell of interest in the study of ingestive behavior at UB.
The University at Buffalo Ingestive Behavior (UBIB) community was organized in 2015 with the help of two new faculty members, Dr. Ann-Marie Torregrossa and Dr. Stephanie Anzman-Frasca (now Director and Associate Director of the CIBR). Drs. Torregrossa and Anzman-Frasca spearheaded annual research retreats for members of UBIB, and these highly successful meetings have helped bring together almost fifty members of the UB community in more than a dozen laboratories. The CIBR was formed, with Dr. Derek Daniels as the director, to provide an administrative hub to support the ongoing activities of the UBIB community.
