Erin Goldberg is a staff attorney in the Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic at the University at Buffalo School of Law. Her professional background has primarily focused on public service, policy reform, and legal research and writing.
Upon graduating law school in 2017, she moved to Albany, New York to take a position as the Records Access Officer for the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. She worked primarily in Freedom of Information Law matters and appeal matters. She reviewed over 200 cases annually in this position. In addition to her role as Records Access Officer, she also worked on internal agency policy concern service eligibility and disability rights.
Immediately prior to joining the University at Buffalo School of Law, Ms. Goldberg worked as an editor for Thomson Reuters. She managed over fifty publications, with a range of diverse subject matters and diverse author teams. She also produced three in-house writing publications annually.
Concurrent with her civilian work, Ms. Goldberg also serves as a United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer for the Western New York region. She regularly assists current service members and veterans in matters pertaining to family law, estates law, and military administrative law.
