UB Offers Graduate Tax Certificate Program

BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Registrations are being accepted for the second fall term of the Graduate Tax Certificate Program offered by the Institute for Tax Studies in the University at Buffalo School of Management.

Courses in tax research and ethics, introduction to taxation of partnerships and partners, and tax aspects of business acquisition and disposition will be held from 6:50-9:30 p.m., Oct. 20 through Dec. 15, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, respectively.

All courses are taught by qualified tax practitioners drawn from the legal and accounting professions. Twenty-four hours of continuing-professional-education credits will be awarded for each course, with the Graduate Tax Certificate awarded after completion of nine courses in the program.

The Institute for Tax Studies is registered with the New York State Board of Public Accountancy as an official sponsor of continuing-education courses for certified public accountants.

The Graduate Tax Certificate Program is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a qualified sponsor of continuing education programs for individuals enrolled to practice before the IRS. For more information, call (716) 645-3200.
