UB School of Management Announces MBA Case Competition Winners

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo School of Management has announced the winners of its annual MBA Case Competition.

Sponsored by Ernst and Young and Columbus McKinnon, the competition asked students to prepare and present an analysis of the business prospects of Zee TV, a cable TV conglomerate in India.

The $1,500 first-place prize was awarded to a team composed of MBA students Jeffrey Arber of Cheektowaga, Bradley Carlson of Jamestown, Melissa Sirianno of Orchard Park and Karen Woodman of Hamilton, Mass.

Receiving the $500 second-place prize were Jessica Annunziato of Delevan, Alsia Brown of Amherst, Fred Pordum of West Seneca and Jeremy Stott of Liverpool, England.

Judges for the competition were Michael Murray, partner, Ernst and Young, and Robert Montgomery Jr., executive vice president, Columbus McKinnon.

The UB School of Management is ranked by Business Week as one of the "best" business schools in the U.S. It enrolls more than 700 students in its full-time, Professional, Executive and International MBA programs.
