An incident has occurred on or near a University at Buffalo campus that may pose a continuing threat to the university community. This warning is provided so that you may take whatever action is deemed necessary for your safety.

University Police today received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on the grounds of the South Campus, north of Hayes Hall, on Thursday, September 4, sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. The victim is not a UB student and this incident does not appear to be related to the other recent assault on the South Campus.

The suspects are two males. There is no other physical description available at this time.

University Police are investigating and will be doubling its patrols on the South Campus.

Remember that there is safety in numbers. It is best to travel with others, especially after dusk. Always be cognizant of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the University Police. Use the UB's transportation services or the Anti-Rape Task Force escort program. Members of the community are urged to be vigilant at all times. Report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons/activities to the University Police as soon as possible.
