University Police are investigating an assault that occurred in the Ellicott Complex on Core Road at around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, September 21.

The victim, a male student, was approached from behind after exiting a cab and assaulted by an unknown number of suspects. The victim suffered lacerations to his head and face.

Please remember that there is safety in numbers and walk with a friend particularly after dark.

University Police are increasing patrols in the area and are asking that anyone who may have information on this crime to please contact the University Police at 645-2227.
