Feasibility

A doctor checks a patient's blood pressure.

Often the first step in becoming a site for an industry-funded or federal flow through multi-site clinical trial is the completion of a Feasibility Questionnaire.  This survey is used by sponsors to assess a site's capability to successfully execute a protocol, covering patient population, infrastructure, staff expertise, and enrollment timelines.  Accurate completion of this document is essential for the sponsor in order to avoid wasting resources on sites unable to meet study demands. As a potential site, you should ensure that the document fully reflects our capabilities.

Completing Feasibility Questionnaires

We have a compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) that relate to the completion of these feasibility questionnaires. If you need additional help for questions regarding site infrastructure and resources (including coordinator availability), please email ubcro@buffalo.edu . If you need additional help for questions regarding patient population and recruitment, please email Alexis O’Brien or Marchelle Brooks.

TriNetX, the state-of-the-art end-user query tool that allows users to search de-identified clinical patient data for feasibility, recruitment, and project enrollment, is available to University at Buffalo researchers through the Institute for Healthcare Informatics (IHI). Using TriNetX, investigators have access to data from more than 1 million patients' electronic health records (EHRs) at no cost.
