Undergraduate students pursuing an anthropology degree at UB receive much-needed scholarship support from this fund.
Established by Dr. Stanley Dickson, family and friends, the Marion and Dr. Stanley Dickson Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the Department of Anthropology at the University at Buffalo.
The Department of Anthropology embraces scholarship incorporating and intersecting with other disciplines in the social sciences, humanities and medical sciences. Our faculty and students conduct prominent research that is widely recognized through articles published in major disciplinary journals, invited lectures at top-tier universities in the United States and abroad, and prestigious fellowships and grants awarded. Coursework provides opportunities for students to study human evolutionary processes, cultural and social changes and conduct comparative studies of people from wide-ranging geographic and historic places.
At the College of Arts and Sciences, our students see opportunity around every corner. Our faculty have the expertise to overcome virtually any obstacle. Now, all we need is your support to help us turn our extraordinary potential into unparalleled achievement. We ask you to join us in creating a better, brighter future for the college and communities around the world. And we ask you, just as we ask ourselves and our students: What problem will you help solve today?
