Abstract: Fourth US-Taiwan Bridge Engineering Workshop was held in Princeton, New Jersey at the Chauncey Conference Center on August 4-5, 2008. Organized by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and MCEER, University at Buffalo, and hosted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, this joint venture between Taiwan and the United States brought together 40 invited transportation engineers, researchers, and high level government officials to discuss areas of common interest. The workshop focused on: multi-hazard mitigation (including earthquakes, scour, and fire); accelerated construction; and advanced materials for highway structures.
