Micro-credentials are available to non-degree-seeking learners. It is not necessary to have a college degree to apply but some micro-credentials may require prerequisites.

Applying as a Non-Degree-Seeking Learner

If you are not a University at Buffalo (UB) student but wish to enroll in a credit-bearing program, you will need to apply as a non-degree-seeking student. Once you are admitted to UB as a non-degree-seeking student, you can visit the webpage of the micro-credential program you are interested in to apply to the program. Lastly, you'll need to register for classes through MyUB.

For non-credit programs open to outside participants, please contact the program lead on the micro-credential program page. If a micro-credential is fee-based, you do not need to apply as a non-degree-seeking student.
