The Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Responsible Research workshop series explains the ways in which the principles of ethics are integrated into the design, conduct, oversight and dissemination of research. This series describes the authority for and professional standards for the responsible conduct of research, and explains the procedures for reporting and investigating misconduct in research. Participants learn about conflicts of interest and methods to ensure ethical procedures are used with animals and human participants. Finally, this series outlines the criteria for determination of authorship and the role of peer review in funding and publication.
