The Technology Transfer team at UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships (BEP) is seeking a Technology Assessment Specialist to identify and aid in the development of commercialization opportunities for the technology from university research, aiming to bring them to market and boost economic growth in Western New York. The role involves working with faculty to identify commercially viable innovations, conducting intellectual property and market assessments, engaging in customer discovery, assisting in patent prosecution, and preparing marketing materials and proof-of-concept funding proposals.

Business & Entrepreneur Partnerships seeks a Senior Program Manager for its startup ventures team. This role will oversee and support various startup programs (WIN, Cultivator, NSF I-Corps, Seed Fund, and more), including the process, operations and logistics associated with building a qualified funnel of startups and enabling the growth of those startups through marketing, fundraising and other initiatives. In addition, the Senior Program Manager will help BEP build and maintain relationships with regional economic development organizations and seek continued funding opportunities.
Business & Entrepreneur Partnerships is seeking a Tech Hub Innovation Concierge to support the NY SMART I-Corridor National Tech Hub through its Commercialization and Collaboration Center (C3). C3 university partners will play a leading role in advancing regional semiconductor manufacturing capabilities in Upstate New York. The innovation concierge will assist local businesses in accessing equipment, facilities, labs, research and expertise across the Innovation Corridor to allow these businesses to collaborate with the region’s universities, bring new ideas to market and accelerate growth of the semiconductor industry in the region.
Business & Entrepreneur Partnerships is seeking a Business Development Manager to work with diverse faculty, companies and community partners to foster research and development collaborations that solve real-world problems and promote workforce development in Western New York. The role involves corporate prospect identification, project development and management, partner engagement, managing related contracts, interacting with UB faculty and researchers, and ongoing relationship management.
