UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships is seeking a Director, Physical Sciences Programs to help foster innovative research and economic growth in the Western New York community. In this role, you will direct the Center of Excellence in Materials Informatics, which works to foster collaborations between the university and industry to solve real-world problems and bring new products and services to market. You will also work with UB researchers, companies from across New York State, community partners, and other academic institutions to establish new translational research programs.

UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships is seeking a Business Development Manager, Physical Sciences to work with diverse faculty, companies and community partners to foster R&D collaborations that solve real-world problems and promote workforce development. In this role, you will principally support the Center of Excellence in Material Informatics (CMI) and be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic and long term plan for engaging corporate partnerships, including market analysis, plan development, prospect identification, project development, partner engagement, managing under related contracts, and ongoing relationship management.

The Technology Transfer team at UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships is hiring a Senior Licensing Manager for Physical Sciences to identify and commercialize innovative technologies from faculty research to advance technology commercialization in Western New York. The role involves collaborating with Startup Ventures and BEP staff to develop licensing and startup opportunities, conducting intellectual property and marketing assessments, supporting patent filings, and mentoring a team. 

The Technology Transfer team at UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships (BEP) is seeking a Technology Assessment Specialist to identify and aid in the development of commercialization opportunities for the technology from university research, aiming to bring them to market and boost economic growth in Western New York. The role involves working with faculty to identify commercially viable innovations, conducting intellectual property and market assessments, engaging in customer discovery, assisting in patent prosecution, and preparing marketing materials and proof-of-concept funding proposals. 

The Technology Transfer team at UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships (BEP) is seeking a Compliance Specialist to contribute to our team’s efforts to bring innovative new technologies to market and foster economic growth in the Western New York Community.  In this role, you will be part of the Technology Transfer team, working within the nexus of science, law and business managing the intake and reporting aspects of technology disclosures, ensuring compliance with government and sponsor reporting, and overseeing license compliance and accounts receivable processes.
