NYSCHP is the state’s premier provider of information, training and legislative representation for New York State’s health-system pharmacy professionals. The council aims to improve medication use, enhance patient safety, and support practicing health-system pharmacists and pharmacy technicians throughout the state.

Cieri-Hutcherson will be installed as president in April 2025, serving a 3-year term. As president, she will chair the Board of Directors, serve on the Committee on Finance, and address the council at the NYSCHP Annual Meeting. In her role as president, she plans to engage committee members and create a support system to reinvigorate council members.

“NYSCHP serves both the profession and its members, and I think we have substantial room for growth in creating a support system to recharge, revitalize, and amplify our members,” says Cieri-Hutcherson. “By providing this support, members [will] have the bandwidth to take on new initiatives, advocate, or simply receive education and continuous professional development.”

Cieri-Hutcherson has been a member of NYSCHP since 2007. This past year, she was honored with the Pharmacist of the Year Award from the Western New York Chapter of NYSCHP in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments towards the progression of pharmaceutical services in 2023.
