Founded in 1937, AJPE is the official scholarly publication of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Its purpose is to document and advance pharmaceutical education in the United States and internationally.

Prescott has been a long-standing member of AACP, previously serving two terms on the AJPE Editorial Board, from 2018 to 2024. Beyond his work with AJPE, he has served AACP as Chair of the Pediatric Special Interest Group (SIG), as Past-Chair of the SIG Cabinet Administrative Board, and has contributed to numerous AACP committees and task forces.

He has authored over 50 educational research papers and abstracts, 47 of which have been published in AJPE. Further, he has earned a reputation as a highly regarded reviewer, completing 35 reviews for the journal.

“I am honored to join the talented pharmacy faculty on the AJPE Board,” says Prescott. “I am passionate about teaching and research and truly love reviewing papers. Serving as an associate editor for AJPE will provide me with the opportunity to help teaching scholars, here and abroad, to disseminate their work while also influencing what members of the Academy read. I am so very grateful to the members of our team at UB who have helped me grow as a teaching scholar, to my Dean for supporting my engagement with AJPE, and to the AJPE Board for trusting in me and elevating me to this important role.”

This appointment recognizes Prescott’s outstanding contributions to pharmacy education and his commitment to advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning.
