Dear UB Community:
I am pleased to report that the search for the next vice provost for university libraries is now underway. Dr. Suzanne Rosenblith, dean of the Graduate School of Education, has agreed to serve as chair of the search committee. Under Dean Rosenblith’s leadership and with the support of the search committee, I have every confidence that the search for the next vice provost for university libraries will be a great success.
The search committee includes faculty and staff from University Libraries and across the university. I am grateful to the members of this committee for their willingness to assist UB in recruiting an outstanding individual for this important leadership position. In addition to Dean Rosenblith, the search committee includes:
We have secured the services of Isaacson, Miller to assist the search committee. Beverly Brady will be the principal from the firm working on this search, assisted by Caitlin Barrett. Ms. Brady has extensive experience in leading academic library searches for universities, including many of our AAU counterparts.
The search committee and search firm will begin their work this month with the goal of completing the search process by July 1. Throughout the coming months, Dean Rosenblith will update the university community regarding the committee’s progress.
