How You Register for Classes

The process and timeline for getting registered for classes vary depending on your major and/or academic advising center. The chart below summarizes the process and timeline for each advising unit.

Please note: You MUST complete Step 1: Complete the Orientation Data Form and Step 2: Submit Immunization Records (and the tasks listed above) BEFORE you are able to register for classes.

To find your timeline, choose the semester you will start at UB from the tabs below, then utilize your advisor code and student type. Your advisor code is assigned after you submit your Orientation Data Form (ODF); check your confirmation email to learn your advisor code. If you change your major, your advisor code may change.

STAY ON TRACK
Many tasks for new students are associated with holds on your HUB Student Center. For most students, once you have cleared hold(s) you are ready to register for classes!
