Accessible Parking

The upper Baird and Slee Lots are designated as accessible parking for guests with disabilities. Those with official parking hangtags may utilize these accessible lots and spaces. The University at Buffalo does not issue these hangtags.

Guests who are unable to walk from the parking lot may be dropped off in the Coventry Loop in front of the building. Parking is not permitted in Coventry Loop.

Venue Access

The Center for the Arts is equipped with elevators inside the Mainstage Theater allowing for access to seats in the lower orchestra and wheelchair rows by persons with special needs. Please be aware that the balcony of the Mainstage Theater is not serviced by an elevator, patrons seated in the balcony must be able to take the stairs to get to their seats.

Wheelchair Access and Seating

Reserved seating is available for those in wheelchairs. Tickets for these seats can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office. Ticket office hours are forthcoming. 

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Guests

  • Assistive Listening Devices — The Center for the Arts is equipped with infrared assistive listening devices that augment the sound in the theater for those that have difficulty hearing. Assistive Listening Devices are available for check out, please ask an usher for assistance.
  • Captioning  You may access live captioning from your own personal, electronic device or ask the usher about borrowing an ipad. 
  • Sign Language Interpreter — A sign language interpreter will be present at each speaker event.
