No cuts likely for UB in proposed budget; Tuition would stay at current level for upcoming fiscal year; TAP would get increase
For the first time in a decade, UB likely will not face any cuts in its operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year under the executive budget proposed by Gov. George Pataki last week.
Geology develops a rigorous new curriculum
The Department of Geology has developed a new, more rigorous undergraduate curriculum, designed to appeal more to students through an increased emphasis on environmental applications and better integration of the diverse topics students must study in order to practice in the field today.
