D. Bruce Johnstone, university professor of higher and comparative education and acting director of the Comparative and Global Studies Center in the Graduate School of Education, was one of three SUNY representatives who made presentations at the International Symposium on University Administration, held recently in Moscow. Johnstone discussed higher-education financing models. Michael Luck, vice president for philanthropy and alumni affairs at the SUNY Research Foundation, spoke on mission development and strategic planning, and David L. Anderson, dean of students and associate vice president for student affairs at Binghamton University, discussed campus life and the mission of student affairs offices.

Maria S. Horne, associate professor of theatre and dance, will travel to San Jose, Costa Rica, this month to receive the Excellence in Teaching and Distinguished International Career Honor Award presented by the Universidad de Costa Rica. Horne will receive the award in recognition of her international contribution as educator and researcher in the areas of acting and directing, and for excellence in teaching and promotion of method acting. The award ceremony will take place at the International Meeting of Schools of Theatre organized by the Asociacion Internacional de Escuelas Superiores de Teatro (AIEST), whose participants represent universities and schools of higher education from Ibero-American countries.

Harvey Breverman, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Art, will exhibit his work in numerous museums in Europe during the summer and fall. Among the venues will be the "19th International Exhibition of Modern Exlibris—Malbork 2002" at the Malbork Museum in Malbork, Poland, from June to August; the "XIII Deutsche Internationale Grafik Triennale" in Frechen, Germany, from Aug. 25 through Oct. 6; the "4th International Engraving Salon" at the Florian Museum in Maramures, Romania, in August and September, and the "XII Print Internacional" at the Teller Galeria Fort in Cadaques, Spain, from July 1 through Sept. 15.

Jeremy Bruenn, professor of biological sciences, will chair a session at the meeting of the International Union of Microbiological Societies, which will be held during the Twelfth International Congress of Virology on July 27-Aug. 1 in Paris.
