This tour highlights UB's world-class research facilities, collaborative learning spaces and vibrant academic community. Learn how UB supports graduate students, and see firsthand why UB is a premier destination for advanced study and discovery. 

Wednesday, July 23 | Depart from Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel to UB North Campus via bus at 12:30 p.m.
Note: The tour will last approximately 90 minutes, so please wear comfortable walking shoes.

  • Tour Length: The Miss Buffalo Waterfront Cruise runs for two hours. All other tours run about 90 minutes.
  • Plan Ahead: Allow extra time for travel to and from the starting point (see tour notes for directions).
  • Accessibility: Need accommodations? Let us know—we're here to make it work for you.
  • One Tour Per Person: Your registration fee covers the cost of one tour.
  • Limited Availability: Spots are first come, first served, so sign up early!
  • Deadline: Register by July 1, 2025, to secure your spot.
  • Travel Note: Arrive early Wednesday to take the Miss Buffalo Waterfront Cruise.

Miss Buffalo II Waterfront Cruise

Wednesday, July 23 | Depart from the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel at 6:15 p.m. Boat sails at 7 p.m.
Note: Tour begins at Canalside—a quick subway ride and short walk to the starting point or a 20-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel. This tour requires the least amount of walking. However, you still need to walk a little to get to the boat!

Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor Tour

Note: Tour begins at Michigan Street Corridor—about a 15-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel. This tour requires the most walking, but totally worth it!

From the Underground Railroad to the Niagara Movement (a precursor to the NAACP), this tour brings history to life. Highlights include tours of the Michigan Street Baptist Church and the Nash House Museum—two landmarks with stories that matter more than ever.
