Information Security Awareness Training

Understanding how information security impacts you while you are at UB is very important. The Information Security Office makes a variety of awareness materials available both electronically and in print. Online awareness materials range from general purpose introductory items to topic specific.  

Training

An introductory level course developed in collaboration with Learning & Development and is intended to introduce general information security concepts.

  • This is an optional course, login to UB EDGE required.

This course explains the laws and regulations that UB needs to comply with and illustrates to effectively achieve that. Handling Data Safely materials are available to anyone with a UBITName.

  • This course is the training requirement for working with any form of Regulated Data, including secure UBBox folders

Security awareness training courses cover key security best practices  to prevent, detect and respond to information security threats. They cover essential topics, such as phishing and keeping systems safe.

  • These are courses for individuals at UB interested in additional information security training.
