Through cutting-edge research, our faculty and students define new directions and develop new technologies to help address critical societal challenges in biology and medicine, energy and the environment. Whether we invent new material at the nanoscale, make objects invisible or take the internet underwater, our faculty make discoveries in the lab and then bring this knowledge to the classroom.
Our graduates develop innovative new solutions for improving human health, health care, safety and quality of life for people across the world. EE graduates may also develop socially relevant communications products, innovative materials and devices that create greener, more energy-efficient solutions for our world.
