At UB, we take pest control seriously, and have numerous preventative measures in place. If you do find bugs or other pests in your room or apartment, you can submit and monitor a maintenance request online. Emergency coverage is available after hours and on nights and weekends.

In most cases, bugs in your room or apartment are not an emergency. Please submit a non-emergency maintenance request unless the bugs are threatening your health, there is a significant infestation, or there is some other emergency.

Please be as specific as possible with your request, and allow 24-48 hours for a response for non-emergencies. At UB we take the cleanliness of our residence halls and apartments seriously, and our goal is to provide a hygienic environment for all students. Please note that you may be charged if there is negligence on your part, including improper food disposal, unsanitary conditions and illegal pets.
