Established in 2004, this award acknowledges faculty who have made sustained and wide-ranging service contributions to a broad array of university constituents. The award recipients have distinguished themselves through exceptional service to the university and to their communities, as well as to their disciplinary, professional and faculty governance organizations at the statewide, national and international levels.
Department of Psychiatry
Professor and chair of the Department of Psychiatry in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Steven Dubovsky, MD, is an accomplished scholar who has provided expert leadership to his school, university and community. Serving the Jacobs School in numerous roles, Dr. Dubovsky helped to establish UBMD and currently chairs the School of Medicine Conflict of Interest Committee. A highly accomplished scholar, Dr. Dubovsky is the principal investigator on 11 current industry-sponsored clinical trials. He has received multiple academic awards in citation in addition to serving as a volunteer firefighter and reserve deputy sheriff.
