University librarian for biological sciences, environment and sustainability, and geology, Frederick Stoss, MLS, is an experienced and forward-thinking educator with international expertise on climate change, environmental studies and sustainability research, data, and scholarship. His work is both proactive and contemporary, initiating departmental collaborations and using technology to provide insightful solutions. He has helped develop library research instruction classes for various degree programs and is generous with his time and service to students and faculty. He has served as the chair of the Special Libraries Association’s Environmental Information Division, American Library Association’s Task Force on the Environment, and Atmospheric Science Librarians International.
