Climate change is often the target of unreliable information, especially in social media and in politically charged debates. Kenyon's work attempts to provide reliable, fact-based information and education on the topic, while also underscoring the urgency of the situation with visceral, even mythical, imagery.
Kenyon's new project, Oracle, is an interactive artwork featuring a talking flame emanating from a burning tire. The burning tire functions as a climate change oracle that viewers can approach and ask their questions about environmental crises and the changes in the world around them. Kenyon also recently received a grant from the Warhol Foundation to develop another work involving fire. Dumpster is an interactive talking dumpster fire – a fusion of tech, art, and environmental concerns that serves as a megaphone, spotlighting waste, consumerism, and politics, igniting important dialogues.
