Preparing talented students for careers in STEM, the licensed professions and health-related professions.
The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) empowers talented undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in science, technology, math, and engineering (STEM), the licensed professions (i.e medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, psychology, counseling, social work, architecture, OT/PT) and health-related fields. Our scholarly community of students, alumni mentors and faculty work hand-in-hand to increase the presence of underrepresented students in these fields.
CSTEP supports UB’s future doctors, engineers, pharmacists, lawyers and other licensed professionals by providing the key preparation, resources and opportunities critical to their success, fostering students' exemplary achievement every step of the way.
CSTEP is a grant-funded program sponsored by the New York State Department of Education, established in 1987.
