Katie is the Study Abroad Advisor

Katie joined the Office of Study Abroad Programs in July of 2023. She previously worked at Niagara University in the Office of International Relations where she oversaw study abroad and faculty led programming and worked in international student services. Prior to that, she worked as the director of experiential opportunities for the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management for nine years.

Katie’s first career was in the hospitality and tourism industries where she worked for several years in hotel sales and operations and event planning.

She holds a B.S. in Hospitality Administration from Boston University and an MBA from Niagara University and has been active in various local and national organizations and associations.

Katie’s interest in international education began when she volunteered at a center for women and children with HIV and AIDS in Cape Town, South Africa in 2007. After spending time in several Southern African countries and then in Europe, she realized the powerful impact of international travel and is happy to share that passion with students today.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her husband and two young children.
