The Customer Service Program will help students identify and avoid communication breakdowns by incorporating the skills learned from Job Readiness to Career Success, such as critical thinking, problem solving, situational judgment, and being able to communicate effectively in the global community
What You Will Learn
The Customer Service program will help students to understand the underlying benefits and skills needed to establish team and customer relationships.
The program will address various topics related to customer relations:
- Basic Customer Service Skills (core principles)
- Interpersonal Skills, Organizational
- Communication
- Computer Skills
Career Outlook
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Customer Service Representatives expect a median annual wage of $37,700 or $18.13 per hour.
Customer Service Representatives are categorized as a “bright outlook” occupation which is expected to grow rapidly in the next several years, will have a large number of job openings, or are new and emerging occupations.

Qualifications to Start
Before you start this class, you must:
- Have a High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Meet minimum TABE Reading (509) and Math (490) scores
