A vocational program can help you get trained and find a job. We offer a variety of programs at the Buffalo EOC.

  • Buffalo Build
    12/16/24
    Buffalo Build is a pre-apprenticeship program which offers foundational construction knowledge and skills needed to excel in the building trades. Students will explore multiple building trades and their respective career pathways which will enable them to select the trade that best suits their interests and skills. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be given priority consideration for direct entry to one of our partner trades.
  • CDL Test Preparation

    The Buffalo EOC is holding tuition-free CDL (Commercial Driver License) Test Preparation classes to help individuals to pass the NYS written test for the commercial license permit (CLP) for Class A & Class B.
  • Security Guard Training
    9/24/24
    The Security Guard Training program is designed to introduce students to emergency response procedures, crime scene prevention, legal authority of security officers, and loss prevention and proper use of force.
  • Customer Service

    The Customer Service Program will help students identify and avoid communication breakdowns by incorporating the skills learned from Job Readiness to Career Success, such as critical thinking, problem solving, situational judgment, and being able to communicate effectively in the global community
  • Incumbent Worker Series

    The Incumbent Worker Training Series (IWS) program is designed to provide skills for those who are currently employed, underemployed, or laid off that will allow them to advance and/or re-enter the job market.
  • Highway Construction
    12/13/24
    The Highway Construction program provides students with foundational knowledge and skills about the construction industry. During the program, students will gain hands-on skills that they can use as an entry-level laborer on a road construction crew. Successful completers of the program will also receive a Flagging Certification as well as OSHA 10 Certification.
