Fund Your Education

Students with the Glacier Modeling Lab in the Department of Geology, led by Kristin Poinar, meet in their Hochstetter Hall lab space in December 2023. They are mixing fieldwork with the latest developments in AI to map and understand the ever-changing glacial ice in Greenland. PhD candidate Courtney Shafer takes notes on the windows. There are a range of ways to fund your graduate education. At the University at Buffalo, funding decisions are made by the programs to which you apply.

Beyond the Classroom

The Art of Research was a competition organized by the Graduate School to celebrate the research of UB graduate and postdoctoral scholars through a showcase of original images showing the beauty of research, scholarship, and creative activity. The event featured 28 finalized and awards were presented to winners. Photographer: Meredith Forrest Kulwicki.
