CIGBS includes innovative programs such as UB’s Translational Pharmacology Research Core and the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) Drug Development Core.
The Translational Pharmacology Research Core is located in the New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences and has extensive experience with HIV drug development.
Created through an National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), the Drug Development Core is collaborative in developing new and repurposed drugs. It draws on the expertise of local, national and international researchers within the Buffalo Translational Consortium.
