Promoting Change and Action in Person-Centered Practices Using a Multi-Media Approach

This randomized controlled trial is testing the motivational value of a video produced by the research team which aims to change knowledge attitudes to people with dementia and assess readiness to adopt person-centered practices. The trial focuses on direct care staff in long term care settings and also assesses the responses of people with dementia and their family care partners to the messages in the video. The video was filmed and produced by National Geographic film maker Kathy Pasternak.
