Here at UB, we have a growing set of key research facilities that broaden and support efforts in sustainability, transportation and logistics.
The Engineering Statistics and Econometrics Application Research Laboratory provides assistance to engineers and scientists on problems involving applied statistical and econometric methods and modeling. The lab provides free consultation to UB's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and governmental agencies in New York State.
The Motion Simulation Laboratory is a marquee SSISTL research and training facility. The lab serves researchers and educators for the implementation of modeling and simulation in transportation Systems. Here we custom design ground, air and hybrid vehicle simulations for emerging applications in: clinical research (vulnerable driving populations), STEM/education and training (experiential learning), human factors analysis (driver distractions), and next-generation transportation studies (autonomous vehicles and flying cars).
