Each semester, the LGBTQ FSA hosts events that include social meet ups, Lunch and Learn educational and professional development opportunities, and a general membership meeting.
A schedule of events hosted or supported by the Association are shared online, discussed at meetings, and advertised via the FSA listserv.
While FSA events are planned with a faculty and staff audience in mind, most events are open and welcome to all members of the UB community.
Thursday, September 12, 2024 | 4:00-5:30pm | GRoW Clean Energy Center
Join members of the LGBTQ FSA Executive Board for a welcome and orientation. New members are encouraged to attend and returning members are welcome. The event will be a brief introduction to the LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association and an opportunity to meet members of the leadership team.
The event will take place in the GRoW Clean Energy Center on the UB North Campus. The GRoW Clean Energy Center is located on Flint Road across from the Center for Tomorrow.

Join fellow UB LGBTQ+ alumni, friends, faculty, and staff members from the UB Office of Alumni Engagement and the LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association for the inaugural UB LGBTQ+ Homecoming Tailgate in Alumni Village. A complimentary catered lunch will be provided. Register to attend.

Join Hope Dunbar, University Archivist, for a unique tour of the archival materials related to the WNY LGBTQ community held by the UB University Archives. This tour will highlight a range of historical documents, personal papers, and other materials that illustrate the experiences and impact of LGBTQ individuals and groups in the WNY area.

Join Dr. Alison Fraser, associate curator of The Poetry Collection, for a guided tour of the exhibit The Language of Magic: Queer Occult Poetics. This special installation explores how the poets, artists and activists of the San Francisco Renaissance engaged with occult influences to create queer identity.
"Their writing occupies an occulted space, a liminal territory of unauthorized belief and practice, that allowed them to reimagine gender, sexuality, poetry and language.”
