    The Dashboard of Dashboards (DoD) was developed to simplify users’ access to some key campus dashboard sets, without requiring them to navigate through lists of Tableau sites and projects. It serves as a “one stop” launch page for the current Institutional Analytics dashboards available to the campus.

  • Enrollment Modeling Tools

    Increased understanding of the underlying impact metrics that drive changes in outcomes is a great first step. The reality is that numerous metrics have potential impact, and to different degrees, so where do you start? Enrollment modeling tools are available to the campus community that give users the ability to “turn dials” up or down on selected metrics to see the resultant outcome changes over multiple years.

    In order to take actions for change, it is important to know where you are heading. Predictive tools allow users to get an advanced look at the future, and determine if they need to take additional or different actions to change the predicted outcomes. Understanding the underlying metrics that drive changes in outcomes allows for more informed planning and proactive decision-making.
  • Entity/Hierarchy System

    The Entity/Hierarchy system is the official campus system of record to identify operating elements used by the institution to support its operations.  Operating elements include items such as student majors, course subjects, administrative offices and research centers.  Each item is assigned a unique 4 digit numeric code to support identification across university systems as well as a 10 digit code to support sorting within an organized framework.

    The annual survey collects baseline information on freshmen’s social and academic backgrounds, college choice issues, and plans for their UB careers and beyond.

    Prior to entry, newly accepted transfer students for fall semester are asked to complete the New Transfer Student Survey as they complete other on-line forms. It provides information on their enrollment at previous institutions and their activities while attending those institutions.

  • Student Right-To-Know

    The university is committed to full compliance with the Clery Act and the Campus SaVE Act, which mandate the reporting, collection, and disclosure of statistics concerning the occurrence of certain criminal offenses and timely notification of continuing criminal threats. These laws also require sexual assault awareness measures and mandatory notices to sexual assault victims.

    The SUNY Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS) is administered every three years to all SUNY undergraduates.  The purpose of this survey is to help UB assess various areas of the campus community, atmosphere, facilities, and academic experiences.

    The UB Factbook is an intensive reporting effort spanning the depth and breadth of university operations.  It provides an interactive compendium of frequently requested official information about the institution.
