Today, as many of you across campus know, a team of evaluators from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education completed a three-day campus visit to UB as the final stage of our university’s decennial reaccreditation review. Over the past three days, in the course of our many meetings and discussions, the chair and other members of the Middle States Review Team have repeatedly remarked on the tremendous progress made at UB over the past ten years.
Truly, the last decade has been a period of great institutional transformation as we continue to realize our UB 2020 vision of excellence. As you’ve heard me say often, we have more yet to do, but our success thus far, and its visible impact on our university and all those we serve, is a source of great inspiration and motivation as we move forward.
Preparing for the reaccreditation process has been a university-wide effort taking place over more than two years. I want to acknowledge and thank the hundreds of faculty, staff, and students across the university who have contributed their energy and expertise to this effort. And, as always, I extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our university community for all that you have contributed, and continue to contribute, as we steadily advance upward as a great research university in the 21st century.
With best regards,
