It is my great pleasure to announce the appointment of Charles F. Zukoski as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University at Buffalo, effective this summer.
Professor Zukoski’s appointment is the culmination of an extensive international search launched in September 2011. From a deep and impressive pool of highly qualified individuals, he emerged as a truly outstanding candidate. His intellectual energy and creativity, his exceptional leadership and collegiality, and his great passion for public higher education quickly became evident in this process. To these impressive qualities, he adds remarkable and broad-ranging expertise in academic leadership, international education, economic engagement, and in building strong partnerships within and across the university. I have every confidence that he will be a stellar addition to our senior leadership team and to our university community at this exciting time in UB’s ongoing pursuit of excellence.
