At times, life can prove to be extraordinary. Now, we are in one such moment.
With each passing day, we sense the increasing gravity of the circumstances we face.
To meet these challenges, we need to collaborate, innovate, and treat each other with compassion. And it has been remarkable to see our students, faculty and staff doing just that.
Across the disciplines, our faculty are ensuring that our students’ academic requirements are met. And, our research continues. I appreciate how hard our staff is working to support our faculty and students in this distance-learning environment.
Together, we are all adjusting to a new—albeit temporary—reality.
I’m inspired that we continue to fulfill our mission under such trying circumstances.
On Monday, UB transitions to a distance-learning model.
We all recognize that these are not ideal conditions. But thanks to our innovation and creativity, UB students will receive the exceptional education they deserve. And in this spirit of innovation, UB will continue to have a positive impact on the communities we serve.
This has been a trying time—for UB, for our nation and for our world.
Yet, in times of great challenge, UB demonstrates great resilience and great character.
I truly appreciates the efforts of our wonderful university community.
