Coming Together to Solve Societal Problems

Dr. Venu Govindaraju, UB's vice president for research and economic development, recently spoke to the Buffalo Niagara Partnership Board of Directors about the University at Buffalo's cutting-edge research harnessing AI for social good and how this work can deliver practical solutions to Western New York and the world. A pioneer institution in artificial intelligence, UB has more than 200 faculty currently engaged in human-centered AI research from deepfake detectors to educational tools and energy-efficient microelectronics.
