The Implications of AI

As part of UB's annual Distinguished Speaker Series, technologist Nicholas Thompson and neuroethicist Nita Farahany delved into the immense promise yet occasionally unsettling implications of AI. Thompson, CEO of The Atlantic and former editor of WIRED, and Farahany, author of "The Battle for Your Brain" and a legal scholar and ethicist at Duke University, discussed the possibilities and limitations of AI and how it is transforming our society in areas spanning health care, industry, media, productivity, privacy and beyond.
